In 2010 Rich Froning was not yet a legend.
In 2010 CrossFit was still a little-known discipline, most certainly not the sporting phenomenon that currently, with over 14 thousand associated boxes, has involved and taken by storm the entire globe.
In 2010 Massimiliano Petrucci crossed his path with what would later be his present and his daily life.
In 2015 he sparked a great idea.

A training path that had started 5 years before gave life to a
project that today is well recognized, recognizable and alive, which has a symbol and a name: Bad Boars CrossFit.

In 2022, in the city, Bad Boars CrossFit is the box with the most years of affiliation: it is a great reality.
A captivating, addictive passion. Irresistible. Massimiliano devotes himself entirely to the
development of the project, ignoring any other approach to other sport activities: the goal was to optimize, to fascinate and to maximize.
The love for this discipline lights up the souls, the passion bursts up and melts intentions and will. What comes up is a strong union, hardened by the whole of its affiliates who, day by day, train at the Bad Boars box: they are the first actors on the stage, they are the ones who best represent the energy that only CrossFit can release.

The common desire to be together and to do sport together makes the
idea evolve once again.
Massimiliano feels that it is possible to expand this dimension at a global level. It is possible to give a new dimension to the bond that unites crossfitters from Sassari and from the rest of the Island.
It is possible to go beyond the island borders.
What happens next is a phone call to his lifelong friend (and coach) Antonio, then a day marked on the calendar that will eventually remain indelible in the memory of the realization of the dream.
Let’s create a new opportunity to be together, let’s organize a great event, a race that connects and involves the passion for this Island".
Antonio, cautious as usual, tries to contain me but the barriers that held back the river of
emotions have already collapsed.
In October 2018 a group of very close friends achieved yet another dream: the Wod War 4 Mori becomes a reality. It is a competition with big numbers and proves that even in Sassari and Sardinia you can do great things.
Going beyond the most optimistic expectations, thanks to the incredible effort put into by an extraordinary group of boys, Bad Boars CrossFit is able to do the unthinkable: a small sardinian Box sets up a great international event. But there is more.

Wod War 4 Mori is the legitimate and recognized child of Bad Boars CrossFit, an attachment without which it could not exist. A box where outstanding means to enhance the already strong group dynamics, where the single element works on itself but always aware of being part of the whole.

Where the "I" leaves room for the "we", where the ego is certainly not realized overpowering others.
It’s a wrap, foks! The echo of the success of the first edition spreads out. Major companies
operating in the sports sector wink at WW4M (first of all “Concept2”).
Bad Boars restarts its operating machine and in 2019 the curtain opens to the second edition of Wod War 4 Mori.
Doubled both members and participants, it was necessary to triple the forces in order make
everything happen and to be able to offer an incredible race.

Nel 2010 Rich Froning non era ancora una leggenda.

Nel 2010 il CrossFit era disciplina ancora poco conosciuta, non certo il fenomeno sportivo che oggi, con oltre 14mila box affiliati, ha coinvolto e travolto tutto il globo.

Nel 2010 Massimiliano Petrucci incrocia la sua strada con quello che sarebbe stato poi il suo presente, la sua quotidianità.
Nel 2015 la scintilla accende l’idea. Un percorso formativo cominciato 5 anni prima dà vita alla costruzione di un progetto che oggi è riconosciuto, riconoscibile e vivace, ha un simbolo e ha un nome: Bad Boars CrossFit.

Nel 2022, in città, il Bad Boars CrossFit è il box con più anni di affiliazione: è una grande realtà.

Una passione travolgente, coinvolgente. Irresistibile. Massimiliano si dedica interamente allo sviluppo del progetto, abbandonando ogni altro approccio sportivo e ogni altra attività sportiva: ottimizzare, appassionare, massimizzare.
L’amore per questa disciplina infiamma gli animi, la passione divampa e fonde intenti e volontà. Ciò che ne scaturisce è una forte unione, cementata dall’insieme dei suoi affiliati che, giorno dopo giorno, si allenano negli spazi del Bad Boars box: sono loro i primi attori sulla scena, sono loro a rappresentare al meglio l’energia che solo il CrossFit riesce a sprigionare.
Una passione condivisa che da benefici incredibili alla nostra vita.
Questa unione forte. La comune voglia di stare insieme e di fare sport insieme fa evolvere ancora una volta l’idea ed il concetto.
Massimiliano sente che è possibile ampliare la dimensione, non a livello spaziale ma globale, del suo progetto di sport e vita. È possibile dare una nuova dimensione al legame che unisce i crossfitter di Sassari e dell’Isola. È possibile superare i confini dell’Isola.
Una telefona all’amico di sempre (e coach) Antonio. Una giornata da rosso sul calendario che rimane indelebile nella memoria e memorabile nel realizzarsi del sogno.
“Creiamo una nuova opportunità per stare assieme, organizziamo un grande evento, una gara che unisca e coinvolga le passioni dell’Isola”.

Antonio, prudente come sempre, cerca di arginarmi ma le barriere che trattenevano il fiume d’emozione erano già crollate.
Nel 2018 (ottobre) un gruppo di amici fraterni realizzano l’ennesimo sogno: il Wod War 4 Mori è una realtà, è una competizione con dei numeri incredibili, è la testimonianza che a Sassari e in Sardegna si possono fare grandi cose.
Andando oltre le più rosee previsioni, grazie all’incredibile lavoro messo in campo da uno straordinario gruppo di ragazzi, il Bad Boars CrossFit riesce a fare l’impensabile: un piccolo box sardo mette in piedi un grande evento nazionale. E non solo.
Wod War 4 Mori è figlio legittimo e riconosciuto del Bad Boars CrossFit, appendice senza cui non potrebbe essere né esistere. Un box in cui primeggiare significa esaltare la dinamica del gruppo, dove il singolo elemento lavora su sé stesso ma con la consapevolezza di fare parte del tutto. Dove l’io lascia spazio al noi, dove l’ego non si realizza certo nella sopraffazione dell’altro.
Buona la prima. L’eco della buona riuscita della prima edizione si diffonde. Grandi aziende operanti nel settore sportivo strizzano l’occhio al WW4M (prima fra tutte la Concept2), il Bad Boars rimette in moto la sua macchina operativa e nel 2019 si solleva il sipario sulla seconda edizione del Wod War 4 Mori.

Raddoppiano iscritti e partecipanti; è necessario triplicare le forze per vivere, far vivere raccontare una gara incredibile per numeri e per lo spettacolo offerto. Anche partendo dal basso, sfruttando solo e soltanto le
forze a disposizione, si può fare qualcosa di grande. Di molto grande.
Il Covid ha interrotto bruscamente tutto, stoppato il percorso di emozioni e minato gli sforzi profusi da Massimiliano e dal suo gruppo di “fratelli”, ma grazie all’inserirsi nel mosaico di nuovi spunti, idee e persone e con il prezioso sostegno logistico e organizzativo di Insula Event la macchina del Bad Boars CrossFit si sta mettendo in moto.
Nel 2022 i ragazzi saranno pronti a stupirvi: “Frangar no Flectar – Wod War 3 sta arrivando”.
